MAGNETIC MESSAGES is a local and translocal announcement service.
MAGNETIC MESSAGES can be used to advertise items for sale,
publicise local events / activities or for site-specific text
artworks.
Occasionally a translocal MAGNETIC MESSAGE may need to be combined
with a local one.
MAGNETIC MESSAGES will remain in place until they are replaced
by another submission or become out of date.
A selection of recent magnetic messages are archived on these
pages.

Three) - Caroline de Lannoy - 29/09/06 - 03/10/06 |
The work 'Depth of Field' explores
the relationship between words and its equivalent in
the visual realm. In the same way that a painting can
suggest words, words bring images to mind. Words are
guidelines for producing something. They function as
signs that conjure up representations in the mind. They
can dramatically transform a viewer's perception and
experience of a space. They are used as a sculptural
medium for interventions in spaces to make sense of
the world. Carefully measured and adjusted these fragments
or declarative statements comment on aspects of communication,
vision, and any specific sites.
