Artist, Anna Townley worked with the children in school on the history and techniques of miniature portrait painting - inspiring them to produce their own ornate miniature portraits of people, pets or even 'things' that they love.

The opening party included a video screening of the children talking about their portraits, a storyteller and a fantastic Taxi shaped cake to celebrate Taxi Gallery's first birthday.

This was the first of a series of art projects organised by Taxi Gallery for Abbey Meadows Primary School and is supported by the National Lottery Awards For All Scheme.
