ReMark (Anecdoted Typography of Mark)
The temporary plaque texts were developed from a series of informal conversations with residents and visitors to Wells during the process of removing, restoring and exhibiting the original plaques.

In some cases the texts refer directly to information provided about the people commemorated on the original plaques. Others emerged from tributes to or by people called Mark and some are simply the artist's response to the process of the work and the desire to mark in brass.
