Mixed-media collage on paper, bringing chance-based drawing or mark-making together with found images, texts and materials. These elements are 'found' in the sense of ‘appearing’ within my everyday rather than being sought out or selected. The series is a kind of journal, reflecting daily processes and occurrences across my worktable, in my path and on my doorstep.
Each WiLb may takes days if not weeks to 'arrive' and is titled by the date of its framing. WiLbs tend to gather as couples or triptychs over time.
WiLb is an avatar and acronym of What is Left behind.
